A man is due to appear in court after being found in possession of ‘white powder’ and cannabis.
Officers from Dorchester Police were out on foot patrols in South Street when they came across the man.
He was searched, with officers seizing the items and subsequently issuing him with an order to leave the town centre
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: “One male was searched on South Street. He was found in possession of a quantity of white powder and cannabis. Items seized and a Court date to follow. He was also issued with a Section 35 Dispersal Order and directed to leave the town centre.
2A further male and female were also searched on Weymouth Avenue, after reports of them acting suspiciously were directly passed to officers on the shop watch radio. On this occasion the search was negative, and they were sent on their way.”
