ClassiCann festival combines renowned classical musicians and local cannabis this Saturday • The Mendocino Voice

UKIAH, CA., 5/23/25 — Ever dream of going to a cannabis dispensary, buying a joint, grabbing a bite, and listening to tranquil classical music—all at once? This Saturday, Ukiah’s Plantshop dispensary is making it happen with ClassiCann, a free event featuring live classical performances, food trucks, and a relaxing atmosphere for the community to enjoy.

ClassiCann will be held Saturday at Plantshop’s storefront in Ukiah. The event will begin at 2 p.m. and conclude at 7 p.m. The classical music and cannabis festival will take place at an outdoor stage in front of Plantshop, and will feature a dozen musicians, food vendors, and local cannabis farmers sharing their products.

“ClassiCann is going to be bigger and better this second year,” one of the event’s coordinators, Phillip Lenberg, said in a press release.

Lenberg is also the music director of the Ukiah Symphony Orchestra and a music professor at Mendocino College.

“Twelve musicians are coming, several who are Grammy nominees and some of whom will be returning from last year’s festival,” he said.

According to Plantshop, the event was created to help reduce the stigma around cannabis use by blending artistic experiences, like classical music, with cannabis in a single event. Attendees will be able to smoke, relax and enjoy food during the festival.

The event is free and open to adults 21 and older. Those ages 18 to 20 may attend with a medical cannabis card. The festival begins at 2 p.m., with musical performances divided into four sets and a food break scheduled from 5 to 6 p.m. Dogs are allowed at the event but must be leashed. Plantshop is located at 2031 Wellmar Drive in Ukiah.

ClassiCann tickets are free, but registration is required. People can register for the second annual ClassiCann music festival by clicking this link.
