ST. PAUL, MN — More than 70 cannabis-related businesses across Minnesota will be barred from selling or delivering products starting Thursday, July 18, due to unpaid state taxes, according to a report released by the Minnesota Department of Revenue.
Under Minnesota law (section 270C.726), businesses that are more than 10 days late in filing or paying cannabis-related taxes are prohibited from continuing operations. That includes cannabis cultivators, manufacturers, microbusinesses, wholesalers, and retailers, as well as businesses that sell related products like tobacco or CBD.
The latest list, current as of July 14, includes shops, restaurants, liquor stores, and dispensaries from across the state. Notable areas with multiple delinquencies include Minneapolis, St. Paul, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, and Rochester.
Among the businesses flagged for noncompliance:
- Five Watt LLC, which operates several coffee shops in Minneapolis and St. Paul
- Top Star Tobacco and Ecig LLC in Apple Valley
- Cravings by Minnesota Jimdandy Corp in Minneapolis and St. Paul
- Aurora Cannabis LLC in Prior Lake
- Heavy Rotation Brewing Company in Brooklyn Park
- Camden Liquor and Tao Natural Foods in Minneapolis
- Rooster’s Bottle Shop in Brooten
Also on the list are several tobacco and CBD shops, convenience stores, and liquor stores operating under various LLCs.
If businesses do not resolve their delinquent tax status, they cannot legally sell cannabis or cannabis-related products beginning July 18. The list is updated regularly by the Department of Revenue and reflects active enforcement under Minnesota’s cannabis regulatory framework.
The full delinquency report is six pages long and includes addresses and names for each business.
