A DRUG-driver who was five times over the cannabis limit has been banned from getting behind the wheel for a year.
Carla Dunn, 32, was driving a Vauxhall Corsa on Branthwaite Road in Workington on December 9 last year.
A blood test showed she had 10mcg of THC Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (cannabis) per litre of blood. The specified limit is 2mcg.
Dunn, of Meadow Road, Whitehaven, pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the specified limit, when she appeared before Workington Magistrates’ Court.
She was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £120. She must also pay £85 costs and a £48 victim surcharge.
