I detailed this macro photography and video hack in another video, but I made this short to get straight to the point. Using this hack you can take pictures and stills of trichomes, seeds, pollen and buds to make sure you are harvesting your plants at the optimal times. In this video, I show you how you can turn a smartphone into a macro extreme close up powerhouse using a simple jeweler’s loupe and some double sided tape:

First, unscrew the cover so the loupe is easier to tape on. Sometimes the lights being on help, but play around with it. Next put your camera on 3x zoom and tape the smaller lends right over the 3x lens. You do NOT want to turn macro mode on if that’s an option because watch what happens when I change. Once you do that, that’s it, check out the close-ups. Another awesome thing is you could just take clear frames from the video to get closeup photos.
