Sergey Kolivayko, a creative director at Field Guide Co, gave me an assignment. We were smoking a joint at 10:32 p.m. and I told him I need to create something, but needed a due-date. He looked at his watch and said, “By 10:32 p.m. tomorrow, you must have shot and edited a video.” At first I was skeptical, having never made a video before. I woke up, having no idea what to do. And just decided to film what my day consists of. As soon, as I had my coffee beans shot, I knew exactly what this video would be, “Morning Rituals.” It was cool finishing the project way before it needed to be done. Here’s the start of my art. Now comes patience, learning, and more learning.
